Event Planning Guide
Plan all events from the start of the year to graduation: venue, time, type, and poster; school-wide notification; upcoming events for families.
1. Creating an Event
New events are added from the Events page (management, coordinator, and teacher). Each event carries rich information:
- Title and date (required).
- Start and end TIME.
- Venue / location (e.g. Conference Hall).
- Type: Ceremony, Holiday/Special Day, Trip, Meeting, Exam, Graduation, Celebration.
- Poster image (optional, max 5 MB).
2. Annual Planning
You can plan all special days from the first day to graduation in advance. The event list is grouped by MONTHS, so you see the whole year's calendar at a glance.
- Events are listed in date order with month headings.
- Past and future events are kept in the same calendar (record/archive).
- Edit or delete anytime (deletion asks for confirmation).
3. School-wide Notification
If management and the coordinator check the Notify Whole School option when publishing an event, the event reaches the personal notification (bell) of parents, students, and staff.
- The notification carries a summary of date, time, and venue.
- If a teacher adds it, it only appears in the notification feed (no mass notification to everyone).
- Mass notification is written scalably (safe for crowded schools).
4. Student and Parent View
Families see events in two places:
- The Upcoming Events card on the home screen (nearest 4 events, with poster).
- The full calendar on the Events page.
- They can ask the Ask the School assistant (e.g. where is April 23) for event information.
